Warburg Pincus LLC exited a more than seven-year-old investment in Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (KMB) The U.S. private equity firm, which first invested in Kotak in November 2004, sold 26.5 million shares in a block trade today, said Malini Roy, an external spokeswoman for Warburg. Malaysia’s state investment arm, Khazanah Nasional, has sold its little more than 4 percent holding in India’s private sector lender Yes Bank for about $105 million, two sources with direct knowledge of the deal said on Monday. Norwegian sovereign-wealth fund Norges Bank Investment Management has cut its stake in three Indian infrastructure companies including IVRCL Ltd. and Lanco Infratech Ltd. in the past two weeks, stock exchange filings showed Tuesday. Indian real estate fund Indiareit Fund Advisors, a unit of drugmaker Piramal Healthcare, is planning to raise $500 million via an offshore fund to invest in Indian development projects. Singapore government’s investment arm Temasek Holdings’ unit Allamanda Investments has sold shares worth $300 million (about Rs 1,500 crore) in India’s largest private sector lender ICICI Bank. Blackstone pledges entire stake in Gokaldas Exports to raise funds

Private equity giant Blackstone has pledged its entire equity stake in Gokaldas Exports, the country’s largest apparel exporter, to raise funds marking a rare instance in which a PF fund has resorted to this method to raise money.

Regulatory filings for the October to December period in 2011 show that the company’s foreign promoter, Blackstone FP Capital Partners Mauritius, has pledged its 68.27% stake. It did not disclose details about the funds raised.
